Story:I Miss My Mum
I Miss My Mum
I just stumbled across this book while playing on th internet and can honestly say it has pulled on my heart string.
Unfortunately my mum passed away from Cancer almost 2 years ago. Im 18. I was with her all the way to the very end and can honestly say that not a day goes by when i dont think about her.
She was the greatest person in my life, the biggest role model, the best friend, the closest parent. So when she was struck down it was devastating.
I would like to think that everything i have done since would make her proud of me and i know she is always by my side. I do honestly believe i will see her again one day. I would have been lovely if i had got a letter off her, but of course, you dont like to admit at the time that a person is dying, you always believe they will get better.
The greatest and happiest memories i have of my mum are of us always going on the steam train together. I would finish my summer job at half 2 and she would walk down to meet me and we would hurry to catch the train and go for a lovely day trip together. She wrote a list out of all the trips we had been on and what we did.
I love you mum, and i look forward to you visiting me in my dreams. :o)
This was so lovely to read it made me cry. I know this isnt really an appropriate film to mention but there is one bit in sixth sense that always makes me cry. The little boy says to his mum i see grandma she says in answer to your question..every day and he says what did you ask her? and his mum says 'is she proud of me?' I'm sure your mum is extremely proud of you for the way you are coping and you will see her again properly one day but i'm sure your mum doesnt want that to be for a very long time. :-)
